Biography Melvyn Hayes is an English actor, now best known for playing the effeminate Gunner "Gloria" Beaumont in the 1970s BBC sitcom It Ain't Half Hot Mum. He has had a long and wide ranging career in movies and television, appearing in over 30 films and dozens of television programmes.
